The spiders on the whip animate and spread all over the target dealing an extra 2d6 poison damage, and the target takes the poisoned condition on failed save (DC12) (end of turn save ends condition). The spiders vanish at the beginning of the whip wielders turn and appear back on the whip ready to go again.
